Motorcycle gear is essential for those who want to ride their bike in comfort, safety, and style. There are several types of gear that are needed, including gloves, boots, and riding apparel. You need to look at all of these components and decide which one is most important to you.
Helmet
A helmet is an important piece of safety gear that you need to wear. But what kind of helmet do you need? What is the difference between a good helmet and a great helmet?
The best way to find a helmet that fits your head is to visit a store that specialises in helmets and try on several brands. A good shop will have many options and will be able to show you how to wear them correctly. There are many helmet shops in the United States, so you may not have to travel too far to get fitted. Refer to the size chart here to find the appropriate fit.
Once you know what brand tends to fit comfortably, then you can start to narrow down your choice of model, features, and visual style. You don’t have to buy the first thing you see. It’s a good idea to take your time and get to know the brands you’re considering before you buy.
Jacket
A motorcycle jacket is an essential piece of equipment. It is what you put on after you ride and before you go to bed. A motorcycle jacket protects you from the elements, and offers style and function. The best motorcycle jackets are made from leather, and offer great style and comfort. The best ones have a waterproof lining, which is designed to protect you from water and debris.
It’s up to you to decide what kind of leather jacket to wear on your motorcycle. If you’re looking for a functional jacket, check out our Leather Motorcycle Jackets page. If you are looking for a more casual jacket that looks great with jeans or slacks, try our Leather Jacket page. If you are looking for a more formal jacket, you might want to check out our Leather Business Jacket page. We have a lot of styles and colours to choose from.
As an avid motorcyclist myself, we know how important it is to have the right protection for your bike.
Suits
There’s nothing wrong with wearing a suit if you’re comfortable with it, but a lot of riders like to have their options open. If you ride a lot and are comfortable wearing a jacket, but don’t want to wear pants, then you might want to consider a riding suit that’s made up of a jacket and pants combination.
A suit should not be bulky and it should fit snugly but comfortably.
If you are looking for the most fashionable jacket, then a one piece leather jacket is your best bet. If you want to look like you’re from the 80’s, then you may want to consider a two piece jacket.
Additional Safety Gear to Consider
Now that we have covered the basics of motorcycle gear, let’s dive into additional safety gear for your protection.
Body Armor
There are many ways to add body armor to your motorcycle clothing. In the past, we have designed a body armor system that attaches to the outside of a jacket or pants and adds impact protection at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. I am currently working on another design that will provide protection at the waist and back.
There are many different types of body armor. You can wear a vest or a jacket with a hard shell. They can be made out of Kevlar, steel, or any other material that is highly resistant to damage. There are also tactical vests that you can wear under a jacket or as a standalone piece of clothing.
Elbow/Shin/Knee Guards
We can’t imagine a better way to protect yourself than from an on-the-ground crash. We would rather be able to run away from an accident than be crushed by a car or truck. A helmet alone won’t do the trick, but with armor on top of a helmet, you’re ready for anything!
Eye Protection
It’s easy to forget about eye protection when riding, especially if you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to change your helmet. But you should make sure that you are wearing protective eyewear when riding. The best way to do this is by making sure your eyes are protected from dust, dirt, bugs, and debris.
A good pair of glasses can help you see better and protect your eyes. But if you want a pair of glasses that is even more protective, consider a pair of motorcycle goggles. These can help protect your eyes from flying debris and road hazards such as stones, pebbles, and other things that can cause injury to your eyes.
Whether you are on a motorcycle or a bicycle, you want to look good and be comfortable when you ride. I have a couple of different styles of hats that will stay securely on your head, and there are some fun styles that will match your favorite riding jacket.
Hearing Protection
Earplugs are one of the best ways to protect your hearing while riding a motorcycle. They will also help you stay awake longer and improve your performance on the road. Earplugs should not be used when riding in traffic, however, because they may affect your ability to hear traffic sounds.
A motorcycle helmet is an important investment. It’s the only piece of safety equipment that you should wear on the back of your head. While wearing a motorcycle helmet can prevent serious injury, it is not the only way to protect yourself from a motorcycle crash.
Remember, All The Gear, All The Time boils down to a great acronym, but it can be the difference between an oops moment and crutches. Be safe out there!
