The 2020 Republican National Convention has been designated a National Special Security Event (NSSE) and will have security oversight by the United States Secret Service (USSS).

Members of the media will apply for media accreditation through their respective Congressional Press Gallery. Once approved by the Galleries or through the Committee on Arrangements (COA) for Specialty Media, everyone in the media will be required to submit Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the USSS for background checks. Once approved, the USSS will issue a media credential. USSS media credentials will be issued with 2020 Republican National Convention tickets the week before the convention.

The USSS media credential DOES NOT provide access into the secure perimeter without a 2020 Republican National Convention ticket. In order to access the secure perimeter, you must have both the USSS media credential and a 2020 Republican National Convention ticket.

Your 2020 Republican National Convention ticket will be issued by the Congressional Press Galleries or the COA and will be distributed via the on-site Gallery offices.

No credential or ticket will be mailed.
